The Adams Middle School Instrumental Music Program will be presenting our Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 6:00pm in Stockmeyer Auditorium at Wayne Memorial High School. This involves all students from the 6th Grade Band, 6th Grade Strings, Cadet Band, Concert Strings and Concert Band classes. Attendance and performing at this concert is a required part of the class and is graded as listed in the music handbook. The students will be required to report to the auditorium at 4:30pm for a sound check on stage. We will quickly start and stop each piece of music and make sure everyone is comfortable before the concert begins at 6:00pm. You will need to be seated, ready to play at 4:30pm, so arrive earlier to unpack your instrument. Audience members will not be allowed to enter the auditorium until our sound check is completed.
Transportation: Parents will drop students off at the auditorium. Students are responsible for transporting their instruments and music to the performance with the exception of larger instruments such as the tuba, baritone saxophone and double bass. These students should speak with me to arrange transportation of their instruments. Dress: Students should wear a black shirt, black pants, black shoes and black socks. Dress clothes are preferred, but ultimately please make sure everything is plain black and has no logos or lettering of any kind. Black socks and shoes are very important - we are trying to achieve uniformity so everyone is wearing the same outfit and no one sticks out. The performance order for the evening is as follows, beginning at 6:00pm: - 6th Grade Band - Cadet Band - Concert Strings - Concert Band See you there! - Mr. Mety |
